For most of us, our culture reflects an environment of Us vs. Them. Even our entertainment reflects this dynamic of defending, competing and conquering. The newest findings of Science, as shared by Gregg Braden are that the survival and evolution of humans is not based on “survival of the fittest” rather Human Evolution is more co-operative, tribal dependent. In order to evolve, we must work together. I find myself constantly struggling to bridge two paradigms, our current destructive culture, the “dog eat dog”-get ahead any way you can vs. this newer awareness of how inter-dependent we truly are and that our survival is linked to how coherent we are.

The Earth Tribe began when a Native Healer and Elder was asked to speak with a group of leading psychotherapists in New Mexico. Bear Heart, a Muskogee-Creek Elder and Roadman, sat beneath a lone tree outside of the conference center. Dr. Will Taegel’s curiosity drew him into a new spiral of learning that lead him to form the Earth Tribe.

Earth Healers
During the harmonic convergence of the 80s, my life changed as I found and chose a new fork in the road. My heart broke wide-open, high in the Rocky Mountains of Montana during a meditation deep within a shamanic cave. I was there, guided by an extraordinary woman who has become known as the Earth Oracle and our spirit guide the “Teacher”. She opened me up to a whole new way of connecting and communicating with nature and mountains, caves, trees…and myself.
I/We see Mother Earth as a living being that provides a diversity of life and abundance. Mother Earth is fully capable of healing and rebalancing herself. Much of our learning throughout the decades has been in the form of guided journeys to the chakra/energy centers on the body of “Earth”. These journeys have taken us to all seven continents, as we participated in healings and re-calibrations that have changed who we are and how we connect. These experiences were always guided by our connection with the Earth and the Spirit Teachers. Most of the journeys were full of struggle and challenges to be caring and kind to each other as our many vulnerabilities were flushed up and witnessed.
